Youth Activity membership for each child is $36/yr for Neveh Shalom members. Junior Kadima (grades 3-5): Junior Kadimaniks are our up and rising leaders! They meet regularly for fun and exciting events. They have events that explore all over the greater Portland area. Contact the advisor at jrkadima@portlandrishonim.org for event information.
Kadima (grades 6-8): Kadima meets locally for social, religious and community service-based activities, with a regional convention each year. Kadimaniks begin to take leadership in planning their own events. Contact Cara Buchalter Emanuel at kadima@portlandrishonim.org for event information.
USY (grades 9-12): United Synagogue Youth is the official youth group of the Conservative Movement. USY meets for social, religious and community service based activities, quarterly regional conventions and an annual international convention. Active USYers become leaders here in Portland, around the Northwest, and even on an international level. USY conducts summer programs based in various parts of the U.S., Europe and, of course, Israel. Contact the advisor at USY@portlandrishonim.org for event information.
