Interesting speakers, mitzvah opportunities, community activities, social events! Join the fun & make some new friends! Men’s Club of Neveh Shalom is an easy way to get together with other members of the congregation, schmooze, learn, nosh, have some fun and share interesting ideas. While our programs primarily target the male membership of the synagogue, women are certainly welcome to attend our programs.

Men’s club also constructs the congregational Sukkah, sponsors Yom HaShoah programming, and volunteers with other organizations such as the Oregon Food Bank. In conjunction with the Sisterhood (Women’s League) we also provide gifts to our Bar/Bat Mitzvah youth.

Sunday, Sept. 2 - The Men’s Club will jointly sponsor with the Beth Israel Brotherhood, a presentation by Stanley Wulf, M.D., of the J Street National Advisory Council, on “The Gaza Wars: 2008, 2012, 2014, 20??” The talk will take place at 10:30 a.m., at the Polin Chapel, Congregation Beth Israel, 1972 NW Flanders St., Portland, OR.
Sunday, October 12, at 9:40 a.m - Men’s Club and Sisterhood will co-sponsor a brunch presentation by Rabbi Posen on “Torah for Real Life.” The meeting will be in the Stampfer Chapel.
Sunday, October 5th & Sunday, October 19th: The construction and breaking down of the Sukkah in the courtyard, and volunteers are needed. If you are interested, please contact Peter Wigmore for more details.

Annual membership dues are $36 to cover the cost of monthly programs and brunch, as well as Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs national dues.
