Mizrach / Eastside
Mizrach (Definition: eastern sunrise) is an extension of Neveh Shalom’s community (kehilah). You can join us for Shabbat services in Eastside parks during the summer, an Eastside bike ride to Sellwood Riverfront Park combined with Tashlich (the symbolic casting away of sins and returning to our true selves during Rosh Hashanah) or a neighborhood Pre-Passover Wine Tasting, to name just a few of the programs and religious services we offer.
Each year we add new programs and religious services, while keeping some of the old.
We offer a wonderful way to meet and connect with our eastside neighbors old and new. Mizrach events are open to the entire Portland Jewish Community.
